APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for July 27

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes July 27 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Fruits and Vegetables: The Fruits and Vegetables Manual (here) and the Fruits and Vegetables Import Requirements (FAVIR) database (here) have been updated to change the allowed ports of entry for Israel carrot from North Atlantic to all ports in the continental U.S. The change in the manual, indicated by black change bars in the left page margin, is in Table 3-120 on page 3-157.
