APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Oct. 14
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Oct. 14 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:
Chapter 3-3 Bovine Products
- Table 3-3-2 Bovine Products Locator -- language has been revised in footnotes #4 and #5
Chapter 3-14 Milk/Milk Products
- Table 3-14-8 Solid Cheese and Pastuerized Processed Cheese Containing Meat -- language has been revised in footnote #1
- Table 3-14-10 Canned, Shelf-Stable Products Containing Milk Products AND Meat -- language has been revised in footnote #2
Chapter 3-17 Ruminant Products

Miscellaneous and Processed Products: The following changes have been made to the Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:
Chapter 3 Reference
- Table 3-122 DRIED fruit and vegetables -- (page 5 of 5) language has been revised in the last column, first cell
Plants for Planting: The Plants for Planting Manual (here) has been updated, 10/2016-49, to add Pedicularis spp. to the lists of regulated propagative material. The revision is on page 4-327.
