Recent AD/CV Scope Ruling Requests

The following new requests for antidumping and countervailing duty scope rulings were filed with the Commerce Department since International Trade Today's last update:

Raw Flexible Magnets From China (A-570-922/C-570-923). skies11 seeks a scope ruling that its silicone bonded magnets are exempt from AD/CV duties because they are printed with text and decorative motifs. Filed Nov. 10.

Steel Nails From Vietnam (A-552-818/C-552-819). Midwest Fastener requests that Commerce find its zinc masonry anchors, consisting of a zinc alloy body and a zinc-plated steel pin, and nylon masonry anchors, consisting of a nylon body and a removable steel pin, are not covered by AD/CV duties. Filed Nov. 11.

New Pneumatic Off-The-Road Tires From China (A-570-912/C-570-913). Leviathan asks that Commerce find its tires for use with construction and mining equipment are exempt from AD/CV duties. Filed Nov. 18.

Raw Flexible Magnets From China (A-570-922/C-570-923). Anna Griffin requests Commerce find its magnetic sheets for scrapbooking are exempt from duties as flexible magnets printed with decorative motifs. Filed Nov. 22.

Multilayered Wood Flooring From China (A-570-970/C-570-971). Huzhou Zhangbang Industry requests that Commerce find its two-layer wood flooring consisting of a single veneer attached to a finger-jointed board is not subject to AD/CV duties because the orders require at least three layers. Filed Dec. 7.

Multilayered Wood Flooring From China (A-570-970/C-570-971). Geenlong International requests that Commerce find its two-layer wood flooring consisting of a single veneer attached to oriented strand board is not subject to AD/CV duties because the orders require at least three layers. Filed Dec. 7.

Circular Welded Austenitic Pressure Pipe From China (A-570-930/C-570-932); Circular Welded Carbon Quality Steel Pipe From China (A-570-910/C-570-911); Seamless Carbon and Alloy Steel Standard, Line, and Pressure Pipe from China (A-570-956/C-570-957); Carbon Steel Butt-Weld Pipe Fittings from China (A-570-814). SinoStruct asks that Commerce find its pipe pools fabricated in China from non-Chinese-origin components are not subject to the various AD/CV duty orders that cover the components. Filed Dec. 9.

Oil Country Tubular Goods from China (A-570-943/C-570-944). Cameron International Corporation asks that Commerce find its unfinished wellhead equipment is not subject to duties because it is not oil well casing, tubing or couplings. Filed Dec. 12.
