  • Canada’s international transactions in May 2017. Statistics Canada reports that foreign investment in Canadian securities amounted to $29.5 billion while Canadian investors increased their holdings of foreign securities by $4.4 billion in May (here).
  • CFIA suspends operating license of KML Meat Processors Ltd. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has suspended, effective July 14, the operating license of KML Meat Processors Ltd. for the company's inability to design, implement and maintain acceptable written prerequisite programs and a hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) system, as required by the Meat Inspection Act and Regulations, 1990 (here).
  • NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade updated the 2017 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports (here) and exports (here).
