U.S. government, seeking $1,188,631.95 in unpaid excise taxes from Gateway Import Management, Good Times and Hanover Insurance on imported large cigars. #17-00232. Filed Sept. 6.

VS GmbH, on the classification of shell castings. CBP classified the merchandise under subheading 7326.90.8588 (2.9%). VS says it should have instead been classified under subheading 7325.99.1000 (free). #17-00233. Filed Sept. 6.

Former Employees Of Brenntag Pacific, Inc., challenging the Department of Labor's denial of trade adjustment assistance. #17-00234. Filed Sept. 6.

​Appeals of CIT Decisions

The following appeals of Court of International Trade decisions were filed at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit during the week of Sept. 4-10:

Maverick Tube, appealing a July 12 CIT decision that resulted in the revocation of the antidumping duty order on oil country tubular goods from Taiwan. #17-2526. Filed Sept. 8.

Tri Union Frozen Products, Inc., Mazzetta Company LLC, Ore-Cal Corporation and Quoc Viet Seaproducts Processing Trading and Import-Export Co., Ltd., appealing an Aug. 8 CIT decision that upheld the final results of an antidumping duty administrative review on frozen warmwater shrimp from Vietnam. #17-2523. Filed Sept. 8.
