- Canada’s international transactions in securities for September 2017. Statistics Canada announced that foreign investment in Canadian securities increased by $7 billion to $16.8 billion, while Canadian investment in foreign securities slowed to $2.4 billion in September, compared with August.
- CBSA issues preliminary determinations for certain polyethylene terephthalate resin. The Canada Border Services Agency on Nov. 16 made preliminary determinations of dumping and subsidizing with respect to certain polyethylene terephthalate resin originating in or exported from China, India, Oman and Pakistan.
- CFIA suspends operating license for Ontario meat processor. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has suspended the operating license for Burlington, Ontario, meat processor Blue Goose Pure Foods Inc., effective Nov. 10, for failure to meet the regulatory requirements related to building maintenance, as required by the Meat Inspection Regulations, 1990.
- Product Recalls: Benefit Cosmetics Services Canada Inc. recalls Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel manufactured in the United States, for contamination posing eye infection hazard.
