  • Canadian security transactions for October 2017. Statistics Canada is reporting that foreign investment in Canadian securities reached $20.8 billion in October, up from $16.7 billion in September. Since the beginning of the year, foreign acquisitions of Canadian securities have totaled $171 billion (all figures Canadian dollars).
  • NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade updated the 2017 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
  • Product Recalls: VTech Technologies Canada Ltd. recalls VTech Shake & Sing Elephant Rattle manufactured in China, for choking hazard; Monte Carlo recalls Cyclone ceiling cans manufactured in the United States, for injury hazard.
