  • Agreement reached for new CPTPP. Canada and 10 other remaining members of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Jan. 23 concluded discussions in Tokyo, Japan, on a new Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
  • CITT final injury inquiry for copper pipe fittings from Vietnam. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) Jan. 26 initiated an inquiry into whether the dumping and subsidizing of copper pipe fittings, originating in or exported from Vietnam, have caused injury or retardation or are threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry. CITT is to make a final determination May 25, 2018.
