The government of Canada recently issued the following trade-related notices as of Feb. 7 (some may also be given separate headlines):

- CCFTA Rules of Origin. The Canada Border Services Agency Feb. 6 issued Memorandum D11-5-4 that provides a stable link to the Department of Justice for the official version of the Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA) Rule of Origin Regulations that are used to determine the entitlement of goods to preferential tariff treatment under the agreement.
- CCRFTA Rules of Origin. - Canada's international merchandise trade for December 2017. Statistics Canada reports that Canada's merchandise trade deficit with the world totaled $3.2 billion in December, widening from a $2.7 billion deficit in November. Total imports rose 1.5%, and exports were up 0.6%.
- Product Recalls: Lenovo recalls ThinkPad X1 Carbon Laptops (5th generation) manufactured in China, for fire hazard.
