  • Foreign affairs minister to visit Washington to promote closer ties. Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland will be in Washington Feb. 14 to meet with key U.S. administration representatives to emphasize the importance of NAFTA and Canada-United States trade as an engine of growth and prosperity for the people of both countries.
  • NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade updated the 2018 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
  • Product Recalls: Tea Living Inc. recalls children’s rompers manufactured in Indonesia, for choking hazard; ALEX Toys LLC recalls ALEX Hoops for the Tub bath toy manufactured in China, for phthalates exposure risk; Radiant Colors recalls Victor Portugal Lining Black Tattoo Ink manufactured in the United States, for bacterial contamination; Disney Store recalls Toy Story Woody Accessory Set manufactured in China, for lead exposure risk.
