Canadian Government Notices as of Feb. 20
The government of Canada recently issued the following trade-related notices as of Feb.20 (some may also be given separate headlines):

- Canadian international transactions in securities for December 2017. Statistics Canada reported that Canadian investors acquired a record $22 billion of foreign securities in December, mainly foreign shares. Foreign investors reduced their holdings of Canadian securities by $2 billion for the month, led by a divestment in Canadian bonds.
- Rules of Origin. The Canada Border Services Agency issued Memorandum D11-4-6, which contains a link to the official version of New Zealand and Australia tariff Rules of Origin regulations. It also contains guidelines regarding the proof of origin and shipping requirements for the New Zealand tariff treatment (NZT) and Australia tariff treatment (AUT). Also, CBSA issued Memorandum D11-4-5, which contains a link to the official version of the Commonwealth Caribbean Countries Tariff Rules of Origin Regulations. That memo also contains guidelines regarding the proof of origin and shipping requirements for the Commonwealth Caribbean Countries tariff treatment (CCCT).
- Product Recalls: GlaxoSmithKline Inc. voluntarily recalls one lot of Ventolin Diskus (lot 786G) asthma inhaler because it may not deliver the intended dose.
