CBP Issues Harmonized System Update With 449 ABI Records, 92 Harmonized Tariff Records

CBP created Harmonized System Update (HSU) 1803 on March 13, containing 449 Automated Broker Interface records and 92 harmonized tariff records, it said in a CSMS message. Modifications include changes required under presidential proclamations instituting new tariffs on steel and aluminum (see 1803080025), CBP said. "New harmonized tariff records have been added to both our Production and Certification Environments" and "Participating Government Agency (PGA) indicators were updated as well," it said.
The modifications will take effect on March 23, CBP said.
