  • CITT initiates final injury inquiry for dry wheat pasta from Turkey. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) on March 29 initiated an inquiry to determine whether the dumping and subsidizing of dry wheat-based pasta originating in or exported from Turkey have caused injury or are threatening to cause injury. This final injury inquiry was initiated further to a notice received from the Canada Border Services Agency stating that a preliminary determination had been made respecting the dumping and subsidizing of dry wheat-based pasta from Turkey. The final determination will be made by July 26.
  • Application of de minimis provision to textile apparel goods under NAFTA. The Canada Border Services Agency on March 29 issued Memorandum D11-4-32, which provides clarification regarding the general application of the NAFTA de minimis provision for textile and apparel goods of Chapters 50 to 63 of the List of Tariff Provisions set out in the Schedule to the Customs Tariff.
  • Product Recalls: CTG Brands Inc. recalls die-cast toy fire engines manufactured in China, for choking hazard; Zeegac Solutions Inc. recalls Compacta Yoya Baby Stroller -- Pushchair manufactured in China, for health hazard due to excess barium.
