- Canada-Mexico bilateral relations. Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland met with Mexico’s Secretary of Economy Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal on March 30 in Toronto to discuss Canada-Mexico bilateral relations and the mutual efforts of the two countries to modernize NAFTA.
