and apples grown in the U.S., among other things, FDA’s Deputy Commissioner for Foods and Veterinary Medicine Stephen Ostroff said in a blog post. "Over the next five years, the PSP will explore" identifying common approaches for auditors and inspectors and "creating a strategy to conduct joint inspections and a joint pilot on micro-sampling to improve surveillance, detection, and understanding of contamination and to improve decision making for response actions," it said.
