  • Coasting trade vessels leaving Canadian waters. The Canada Border Services Agency on Aug. 1 issued Customs Notice 18-12, which states that a coasting trade license will no longer be canceled by CBSA when a vessel leaves Canadian waters, "unless the vessel has completed the activity for which the license was issued or if the authorized dates indicated on the license have passed." Among other provisions, it says a new "coasting trade licence is not required providing the dates on the existing coasting trade licence remain valid."
