- Canadian international merchandise trade for June 2018. Statistics Canada reports that Canada's merchandise trade deficit with the world narrowed from $2.7 billion in May to $626 million in June, the smallest deficit since January 2017. Total exports increased 4.1%, mainly on higher exports of energy products and aircraft, while total imports were down a slight 0.2%.
- CBSA issues statement of reasons for dumping investigation on carbon steel welded pipe. The Canada Border Services Agency issued on Aug. 3, 2018, its statement of reasons for initiating an investigation on July 20, 2018, with respect to the alleged injurious dumping of certain carbon steel welded pipe from Pakistan, the Philippines, Turkey and Vietnam.
