  • CITT continues dumping order on hot-rolled carbon steel plate from China. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal on Aug. 9 announced it continued its order made on Jan. 8, 2013, in Expiry Review No. RR-2012-001, regarding the dumping of hot-rolled carbon steel plate originating in or exported from China. CITT found that the dumping of hot-rolled carbon steel plate from China is likely to result in injury to domestic production. Thus, the Canada Border Services Agency will continue to impose antidumping duties on the product.
  • NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade updated the 2018 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
  • Product Recalls: Vita-Mix Corporation recalls Ascent and Venturist Series 8-ounce and 20-ounce blending containers manufactured in the U.S., for laceration hazard.
