- CITT issues ruling on sucker rods from China. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal on Dec. 14 found that the dumping and subsidizing of sucker rods originating in or exported from the China have caused injury to the domestic industry. The Canada Border Services Agency therefore will collect antidumping and countervailing duties on the products. CITT will issue its statement of reasons on Dec. 31. Alberta Oil Tool of Edmonton, Alberta, brought the complaint.
- Scope proceeding schedule for certain aluminum extrusions from China. The Canada Border Services Agency closed the record at noon on Dec. 17 in the scope proceeding initiated Oct. 26 concerning certain aluminum extrusions originating in or exported from China. A Statement of Essential Facts will be issued Jan. 15, 2019, according to the proceeding schedule.
