  • Canadian international transactions in securities in October. Statistics Canada reported Dec. 17 that foreign investment in Canadian securities totaled $4 billion in October, down from $7.8 billion in September. Also during the month, Canadian investment in foreign securities increased to $14.9 billion, the largest investment since January 2018.
  • Product Recalls: Princess Auto Ltd. recalls Valley Sportsman 9.5 Liter Propane Aluminum Fish Fryer manufactured in China, for burn hazard; The Children’s Place recalls newborn RoseBud, Sophy White Floral and Ladybug Jazzberry snowsuits manufactured in China, for choking hazard; Giant Tiger recalls 6.5-foot pre-lit artificial Noble pine tree manufactured in China, for accompanying adapter that can cause lights to overhead, posing a fire hazard.
