AS America on the classification of ADA-compliant toilet bowls, tanks and sinks. CBP classified the merchandise under subheading 6910.90.0000 (5.7%). AS America says it should have instead been classified under subheading 9817.00.96 (free). #19-00023. Filed Feb. 11.

​Appeals of CIT Decisions

The following appeals of Court of International Trade decisions were filed at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit during the week of Feb. 11-17:

The Chamberlain Group, challenging an order issued by CIT Feb. 11 that required CBP to stop excluding from entry garage door openers imported by One World Technologies. #19-111. Opened Feb. 13.

Hartford Fire Insurance Company, appealing a Dec. 14 CIT decision that found bonds covering antidumping duties were not retroactively declared invalid by a 2006 law that temporarily suspended the option to post bonds instead of cash deposits for goods subject to new shipper reviews (see 1812270036). #19-1543. Opened Feb. 14.
