The government of Canada recently issued the following trade-related notices as of April 29 (note that some may also be given separate headlines):

  • Telephone reporting for general aviation and private boats. The Canada Border Services Agency on April 25 issued updates to Memorandum D2-5-12, which outlines the telephone reporting procedures that general aviation and private boat operators use to report to the CBSA when entering Canada. The notice said the memorandum was "edited for improved clarity but all of the procedures remain the same."
  • Product Recalls: EZDRY and TrueTimber Food Dehydators manufactured in China recalled, for fire and burn hazards; 16” Emoticon Necklace manufactured in China recalled, for excessive lead content; George Best Friend Necklaces manufactured in Vietnam recalled, for excessive lead content; Kingsman and Marquis Skyline II/III gas fireplaces manufactured in Canada recalled, for fire hazard; Vitodens 200-W and Vitodens 222-F boilers (certain models) manufactured in Germany recalled, for carbon monoxide hazard.
