(see 1805300043). To participate, food importers must have their suppliers certified by bodies approved under FDA’s Accredited Third Party Certification Program. In return, participants will receive benefits including expedited entry, limited examination and sampling, FDA sampling at the importer’s preferred location and faster lab results, and access to a special “help desk,” FDA has said. This first year of the VQIP trusted trader program begins Oct. 1.
