- Canadian international merchandise trade for November 2019. Statistics Canada has reports that Canadian merchandise exports declined 1.4% to $48.7 billion while imports were down 2.4% to $49.8 billion in November 2019. As a result, Canada's merchandise trade deficit with the world narrowed from $1.6 billion in October 2019 to $1.1 billion in November.
- CFIA cancels food establishment operating license for Usine Amsellem Inc. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency, after a comprehensive investigation, canceled Safe Food for Canadians license #9K9WDGDF of Usine Amsellem inc, effective Jan. 6, 2020. CFIA had received false or misleading information and false or misleading statements from the license holder about one test result for Salmonella bacteria.
- NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. Global affairs updated the 2020 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
- Product Recalls: Mugshare 16 oz bamboo fiber cup manufactured in China recalled, for burn hazard; Fujitsu LIFEBOOK E744 notebook computer manufactured in Japan recalled, for fire hazard.
