- CBSA preliminary determination of dumping regarding certain concrete reinforcing bar. The Canada Border Services Agency on Feb. 4 made a preliminary determination of dumping with respect to certain concrete reinforcing bar from Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. Provisional duties will now be payable on the subject goods that are released from the CBSA on or after Feb. 4, 2021. A Statement of Reasons will be available from CBSA within 15 days of the decision.
- CIFTA rules of origin. The Canada Border Services Agency revised Memorandum D11-5-6 with an updated link to the Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement (CIFTA) rules of origin regulations, which are used to determine goods' entitlement to preferential tariff treatment under the agreement.
- Product Recalls: Otis and CemcoLift private residence elevators manufactured in the United States recalled, for entrapment hazard; Victory and Protexus lithium-ion battery packs for electrostatic sprayers manufactured in China recalled, for fire and explosion hazards.
