VMware said “burnout” among cybersecurity professionals “remains a critical issue.” Slightly fewer than half of respondents reported having experienced burnout or extreme stress in the past 12 months, down slightly from 51% in a similar survey last year, it said: “Of this group, 69% (versus 65% in 2021) of respondents have considered leaving their job as a result.”
