Non-EU Countries Align With EU Sanctions Relating to Iran, Ukraine

A group of European countries not in the EU aligned with two recent sanctions moves byff the EU, the European Council said. Under the bloc's restrictions regime against Iran, the council amended the list of people and entities subject to sanctions. The countries of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway also imposed the decision.

Under the sanctions list pertaining to those threatening the sovereignty of Ukraine, the council extended the restrictions until Sept. 15, 2023, and updated the information for 171 designated people and 65 entities. The countries of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway imposed the decision.
