CBP to Deploy Immediate Delivery Enhancements to ACE on Sept. 30

Beginning Sept. 30, CBP will add "Immediate Delivery (ID) enhancements" to ACE, CBP said Aug. 22. The updates will allow users to request ID for an entry without having to file the Automated Broker Interface (ABI) Cargo Release (SE) and Entry Summary (AE) separately, the notice announcing the deployment said.

The ID will populate on the "associated Entry Summary" assuming it is successful, the notice said. This also will end the interim guidance on the ID procedures, outlined in a CSMS message from December 2020. Filers still will be able to have the "non-ABI option" to ask for ID on the entry, the notice said.

Among the additional resources available, there will be a post-deployment support call on Oct. 3. There also will be the opportunity to talk about this enhancement on the following regularly scheduled biweekly support calls for addressing ACE technical topics: Aug. 31 and Sept. 28. Each call is from 2 to 3 p.m. EDT. For cargo release-related questions, contact cscwarehousing@cbp.dhs.gov; for post-release questions, contact otentrysummary@cbp.dhs.gov; and for technical issues, contact your assigned CBP Client Representative, the notice said.
