Biden Vetoes Bill Changing Buy America Policy on EV Chargers
President Joe Biden, in his explanation for his veto of a bill that would have disapproved the Federal Highway Administration's waiver of Buy America requirements for EV chargers, said that the general waiver for manufactured products at the FHWA is weaker than this specific waiver.

"If enacted, this resolution would undermine the hundreds of millions of dollars that the private sector has already invested in domestic EV charging manufacturing, and chill further domestic investment in this critical market," he wrote. House Republicans tweeted: "Joe Biden will ALWAYS pick Communist China over America."
