UFLPA Updates to ACE Protest Set to Deploy Jan. 27

CBP on Jan. 27 will deploy updates to the Automated Commercial Environment Protest user interface to automate Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act-related reviews, the agency said. Following the deployment, users will be able to protest a CBP exclusion decision via the ACE Protest tool, CBP said.

The process is outlined in a Jan. 26 CSMS message. To request a UFLPA review in ACE, filers should open the "protest creation screen" and select "Other" for the issue section and either UFLPA Exception Review or UFLPA Applicability Review for the "Secondary Issue," the agency said. The protests will then be routed to either the "applicable" Center of Excellence and Expertise, or the Port of San Juan, or the CBP Office of Trade Forced Labor Division for review, CBP said.
