OFAC Sanctions Beijing Firm Tied to Cyberattacks
The Office of Foreign Assets Control last week sanctioned Integrity Technology Group, Inc., a Beijing cybersecurity company that it said has been involved in multiple cyberattacks against U.S. people or companies.

OFAC said Flax Typhoon, a Chinese state-sponsored cyber group, used “infrastructure” tied to Integrity Tech to aid in cyberattacks between summer 2022 and fall 2023. “During that time, Flax Typhoon routinely sent and received information from Integrity Tech infrastructure,” the agency said, adding that the attacks targeted “several hosts associated with U.S. and European entities,” including an entity in California.
The agency called Chinese hackers “one of the most active and most persistent threats to U.S. national security.” Bradley Smith, the Treasury Department’s undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, said the U.S. “will use all available tools to disrupt these threats as we continue working collaboratively to harden public and private sector cyber defenses.”
