CBP to Require PMS Test Participants to Pay Supplemental Duty Bill Via ACH
Test participants involved in CBP's National Customs Automation Program test on periodic monthly statements must transmit the payment of supplemental duty bills from an underpayment of estimated duties, taxes and fees via the Automated Clearinghouse (ACH), according to a Federal Register notice.

This change will be effective Nov. 17. All other aspects of the test remain in effect, CBP said.
The periodic monthly statements test allows an importer or an importer’s designated broker to deposit estimated duties, taxes and fees on a monthly basis via ACH payment processes. The change announced in the notice requires participants to pay electronically rather than by check.
