US Designates 4 European Antifa Groups as Terrorists

The State Department announced Nov. 13 that it's designating four Antifa groups in Europe as Specially Designated Global Terrorists and is planning to designate them as Foreign Terrorist Organizations as well.

The groups, which it said have engaged in various politically motivated violent activities, include Germany-based Antifa Ost, also known as Antifa East and Hammerbande, and the Informal Anarchist Federation/International Revolutionary Front (FAI/FRI), which operates mainly in Italy, the department said. The other two groups, the Armed Proletarian Justice and Revolutionary Class Self-Defense, are based in Greece.
