CBP Adds More Parties to List of Those Who Can Handle International Mail Duties Payments
CBP has added more parties to the list of those qualified to collect and pay duties on international mail following the end of the de minimis exemption on Aug. 29, under a July 30 executive order.

The list is available here, according to a Nov. 21 cargo systems message. CBP said it will continue to update the list as additional parties become certified. These parties pay duties on behalf of an international mail carrier or qualified party acting in lieu of the carrier.
Those who wish to be considered as a qualified third party should fill out a CBP Form 5106 and have an active bond, CBP said.
