Flexographic Printing Plates Not Covered by AD/CVD on Aluminum Printing Plates From Japan
Flexographic photopolymer printing plates imported by Miraclon Corporation aren't covered by an antidumping duty order on aluminum lithographic printing plates from Japan, the Commerce Department ruled Nov. 24.

The plain language of the AD order was dispositive, it said. The order covers “aluminum lithographic printing plates” that consist “of a flat substrate containing at least 90 percent aluminum,” the department said. On the other hand, Miraclon’s products didn’t contain any aluminum, it said.
It noted the order’s petitioner, Eastman Kodak Company, agreed that the products weren’t covered by the order.
