Algeria Rebar: Prelim AD Cash Deposit Rates Take Effect
The Commerce Department made a preliminary affirmative antidumping determination that steel concrete reinforcing bar from Algeria (A-721-001) are being sold in the U.S. at less than fair value. The agency will suspend liquidation and impose antidumping duty cash requirements on entries of subject merchandise beginning Dec. 19, the date this preliminary determination is set to be published in the Federal Register.

Unusually, Commerce is issuing its AD preliminary determination prior to the preliminary determination in its ongoing countervailing duty investigation on rebar from Algeria. Commerce is also conducting concurrent AD/CVD investigations on rebar from Bulgaria, Egypt and Vietnam (see 2506270035).
​AD Suspension of Liquidation and Cash Deposit Requirements
Commerce will instruct CBP to suspend liquidation for all entries of subject merchandise that are entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption on or after Dec. 19, and require AD cash deposits as follows:
