Report: Indonesia Hoping for Deal Before Year's End
The Indonesian government sent Economy Minister Airlangga Hartarto to Washington, where he is expected to meet with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer before Christmas, in the hopes of finishing a trade deal before the New Year.

The Jakarta Post reported the travel and ambitions. It said Indonesia's technical team, which was drafting the deal, arrived in Washington a week earlier.
The framework agreement announced earlier this year said Indonesian goods would be subject to 19% tariffs rather than the initial 32% announced on Liberation Day.
