ITC Begins Section 337 Investigation on Screen Protectors

The International Trade Commission began a Section 337 investigation on allegations that Belkin Inc. is importing and selling screen protectors that infringe patents held by Superior Communications Inc. (ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1474), it said in a Jan. 2 press release.

The complaint was filed in December and seeks a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders against the respondents to bar from entry "certain screen protectors, screen protector systems, and components thereof" that violate the complainants' patents (see 2512050011).

In the complaint, Superior said that its products are "screen protectors used with application trays."
