New forms of technology would allow CBP to more efficiently use its manpower, he said at the hearing, which focused on using technology at the ports.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is requesting a 30-day extension of the comment period to June 1, 2012, on its request for comments on an existing information collection, the Bonded Warehouse Proprietor's Submission (CBP Form 300). CBP proposes to extend the expiration date of this information collection with no change to the burden hours or to CBP Form 300. The request ran in the Federal Register May 2, 2012.
