The International Trade Commission seeks comments by Jan. 24 on a Section 337 complaint alleging that imports of photovoltaic trunk bus cable assemblies infringe patents held by Shoals Technologies Group, it said in a notice to be published Jan. 16. According to the complaint, Shoals is seeking a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders against U.S. company Voltage and Chinese company Ningbo Voltage Smart Production banning the import and sale of "certain photovoltaic trunk bus cable assemblies and components thereof, including at least the Voltage LYNX Trunk Bus" that infringe one or more claims of the patented technology. The complainant describes the product at issue as "improved lead assemblies or solar wire harness systems for connecting components in solar energy systems and solar panel arrays."

The Commerce Department published the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on certain cold-rolled steel flat products from South Korea (A-580-881). These final results will be used to set final assessments of AD duties on importers for subject merchandise entered Sept. 1, 2022, through Aug. 31, 2023.
The Commerce Department is setting new antidumping duty cash deposit requirements for imports of vanillin from China (A-570-172), after finding sales at less than fair value by Chinese producers in the preliminary determination of its AD investigation. Suspension of liquidation and cash deposit requirements take effect for entries on or after Jan. 16.

The CVD investigation covers entries Jan. 1, 2023, through Dec. 31, 2023. The AD investigation covers entries April 1, 2024, through Sept. 30, 2024.
