China's Ministry of Commerce reports that in 2010, China’s import & export totaled $2,972.76 billion with a year-on-year growth of 34.7%. China’s export is $1577.93 billion and its import is $1394.83 billion, up by 31.3% and 38.7%, respectively. In December, China’s import & export totaled US$295.22 billion with a year-on-year growth of 21.4%. China’s export is $154.15 billion and its import is $141.07 billion, up by 17.9% and 25.6% respectively.
The International Organization for Standardization has announced the publication of the second edition of the International Standard ISO/IEC 17021, which sets new requirements for the auditing of management systems and for auditor competence in order to increase the value of management system certification to public and private sector organizations worldwide. The certification bodies that carry out management system certification (independently of ISO), are being given a two-year period to bring their operations in line with the new edition.
