Export.gov has announced that registration is available for a number of upcoming export-based webinars.

The Bureau of Industry and Security announces that the Regulations and Procedures Technical Advisory Committee (RPTAC) will hold a partially open meeting on June 14, 2011. The agenda for the open session includes updates on export enforcement, regulations, and the Automated Export System (AES). The open session will also be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first serve basis. Requests to join the teleconference are due by June 7, 2011.

The Bureau of Industry and Security announces a meeting on June 9, 2011 of the President's Export Council Subcommittee on Export Administration, which provides advice on matters pertinent to those portions of the Export Administration Act that deal with U.S. policies of encouraging trade with all countries with which the U.S. has diplomatic or trading relations and of controlling trade for national security and foreign policy reasons. The meeting agenda includes working group reports and an export control reform update.

The Bureau of Industry and Security is issuing a correction to the Commerce Control List (Supplement No. 1 to 15 CFR Part 774) to reinstate text for Export Control Classification Number 6A005 regarding “lasers” (other than those described in 0B001.g.5 or .h.6), components and optical equipment.
