U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a notice announcing that the Departmental Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Related Homeland Security Functions (COAC) will meet on May 11, 2010 in Philadelphia, PA from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
1. CBP Corrects Problem with Entry Summary Counts in Some Quick View Reports
Broker Power is now issuing weekly summary reports highlighting the most active textile and apparel tariff preference levels1 from U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s “Quota Weekly Commodity Status Report.” BP’s weekly report also lists the TRQ commodities on CBP’s weekly “TRQ/TPL Threshold to Fill List.”
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a CSMS message announcing that it has completed its changes to expand the ABI Harmonized Tariff Query and Extract Reference Records to allow the trade to obtain all the special rates associated with a tariff number.
