The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Office of Export Enforcement has issued a 180-day order denying the export privileges of Ribway Airlines, Af-Aviation, Af-Aviation Director Andy Farmer, John Edward Meadows, and Jeffrey John James Ashfield, effective Jan. 19, BIS said (here). The five parties attempted to sell two U.S.-origin aircraft subject to Export Administration Regulations to Iran-based Caspian Airlines, which Treasury designated in 2014 as a supporter of terrorism. Meadows and Ashfield were involved in brokering the sale of the aircraft, BIS said (here).
