The Commerce Department would like to hear from intellectual property rights holders, online marketplaces and other stakeholders on how extensive a problem it is that counterfeit goods are sold through e-commerce sites, and what could be done to counter trafficking in counterfeit and pirated goods. Comments should be submitted at regulations.gov, at DOC-2019-0003, by 5 p.m. EDT on July 29. The request is to prepare a report on countering pirated and counterfeit imports, as proposed by the president in April (see 1904030070).
