The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the following voluntary recalls Aug. 11:
The Consumer Product Safety Commission recently issued two proposed rules that would codify the bans enacted by Congress in 2021 on crib bumpers and inclined sleepers for infants. Under the proposed rules, the bans would take effect Nov. 12, and no grace period would be allowed for banned products sitting in inventory. Comments are due Aug. 25.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission is proposing a new safety standard for debris penetration in recreational off-highway vehicles and utility task/terrain vehicles, it said in a notice July 21. The agency said current voluntary standards for ROVs and UTVs don't currently address debris penetration hazards adequately. Comments are due by Sept. 19.
