Immigration and Customs Enforcement has announced that a Philadelphia woman, Mimi Trieu, pleaded guilty on December 17, 2010 to an 18-count indictment for illegally importing and distributing more than four million diet pills that contained a controlled substance, unapproved drugs, and a possible carcinogen.
CBP has issued a Unified Business Resumption Messaging (UBRM) message announcing that the Milltown Crossing (Calais, ME) has suspended operations for U.S. bound traffic only due to facility water damage. The Canadian facility will be open as of December 17, 2010 at 1:00pm (EST) and will be processing Canada bound traffic only. Prior to the U.S. facility re-opening, a facility damage assessment will need to be completed.

CBP has posted an updated version of its 2010 ACE accomplishments fact sheet. Most recently, in September 2010, CBP trained more than 1000 medium to heavy Entry Summary, Account, and Revenue (ESAR) Post-Summary Corrections (PSC) functionality users from the Office of Field Operations (OFO), Office of International Trade, and Office of Information and Technology (OIT). This two-day training course enabled users to perform additional entry summary tasks using ACE.
