U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor TRQs and TPLs that are approaching their restraint limit or have filled their in-quota (low) rate. The list is divided into two sections: those that are at least 85% filled and those that are filled.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted an overview of its Textiles Priority Trade Issue (PTI). With textile imports representing nearly half of all duties collected, CBP states that textiles and apparel are at high risk of non-compliance. CBP provides information on the ways it enforces compliance to free trade agreements and other trade preference programs for textile imports and highlights actions it took in fiscal year 2011.

In the December 28, 2011 issue of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Bulletin (Vol. 46, No. 1), CBP published two notices that propose to revoke or modify six rulings and similar treatment regarding CBP's previous classification of the "Trendy Tee" craft kit and certain air fresheners as HTS Chapter 95 "toys". CBP proposes that these articles no longer be classified as toys because their primary purpose is not for amusement.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is allowing an additional 30 days, until January 30, 2012, to comment on its information collection concerning Prior Disclosure. CBP is proposing to extend the expiration date of this information collection with no change to the burden hours or to the information being collected.
