CBP has issued the following news releases:
The Port of Los Angeles reports that Mayor Villaraigosa and Council Members have proposed a “Business Tax Holiday” for new businesses opening in Los Angeles. The Business Tax Holiday would exempt any new business from gross receipts tax by the City of Los Angeles for three years when they open or locate in Los Angeles.
CBP has issued a CSMS message regarding the International Trade Administration's recent announcement that ITA Form ITA--362P, which importers of articles for the handicapped were required to complete in order to receive duty-free treatment, has been discontinued as of May 31, 2010. With the ITA form no longer required, Electronic Invoice Program (EIP) and Remote Location Filing (RLF) participants may now file entries via EIP/RLF on imported goods that previously required the form.
