U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted an updated version of its Importer Self-Assessment Handbook.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is requesting comments by November 19, 2010 on the information collection "Form 247, Cost Submission," which is used by CBP to assist in correctly calculating the duty on imported merchandise under HTS subheadings 9801.00.10, 9802.00.40, 9802.00.50, 9802.00.60 and 9802.00.80. CBP is proposing the extension of this information collection without change.

CBP has posted an updated version of its directive on the acceptance of temporary admission carnets (Directive No. 3280-013B).

CBP's Port of Miami has issued an Information Bulletin announcing that effective October 23, 2010, the In-bond/Informal and Agriculture Counters located in the CCC Building will be closed from Sunday through Saturday, to include holidays, at 8:00 p.m. instead of 10:00 p.m.
